The forests at Palsgaard Estate
Palsgaard Manor is surrounded by approimately 700 hectares of forest. The forests are dominated by deciduous trees, with beech as the primary species, but oak trees also grace the landscape. The forests offer both high-quality timber and a rich wildlife.

Timber production and nature conservation
When trees are harvested in Palsgaard's forests, the majority of the timber is used for construction wood, veneer and cellulose. But the forests also have an important role as habitats for plants and animals. Therefore, Palsgaard Estate is committed to sustainable forestry that takes balances both timber production and nature conservation.
Nature and outdoor experiences
Ancient oak trees, marshes, small streams and historical landmarks are just some of the natural treasures you can find in the forests. The coastal trail from Snaptun to Juelsminde winds through the forest, and a heart trail in Juelsminde invites you to take an active break. In Juelsminde Forest, mountain bikers can also test their skills on a challenging track.
Forestry in the Baltics
In addition to the Danish forests, Palsgaard Manor also owns around 5,200 hectares of forest in Latvia and Lithuania. The Baltic forests are primarily planted with Scots pine, birch and Norway spruce. They are PEFC or FSC certified, ensuring sustainable management.
