Upcoming sculptures
Between now and 2027, Humlegaarden will become home to two additional sculptures by the visual artist Bjørn Nørgaard, specially designed for Palsgaard Manor Park.
As you explore Humlegaarden, you may already notice the early stages of some of these works, as well as you can see Bjørn Nørgaard's miniature models on display in the park's visitor centre.

About the artist
Bjørn Nørgaard is one of the most important Danish visual artists of the post-war period. He is known for his provocative and politically engaged works, ranging from sculptures and installations to happenings and performance art.
Nørgaard was born in Copenhagen in 1947. He has had a great influence on Danish and international art with his uncompromising search for new forms of expression and his ability to put current issues up for debate.
Some of his best-known works include The Horse Sacrifice, The Red Dogs, and the tapestries for Christiansborg Palace. He has received numerous prizes and honors, including the Eckersberg Medal and the Thorvaldsen Medal.
